Who are WEST?
Energy is currently a leading issue on political agendas not least for the Welsh Assembly Government with its commitment to Sustainable Development including the provision of an efficient, low to zero carbon energy sector.This is why WEST has been supported by the Knowledge Exploitation Fund (KEF), a strategic fund that supports higher and further education in Wales to create a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation and grow the Welsh economy by exploiting research.
The Consortium brings industry leaders together with research and educational experts to develop a strategy for introducing energy innovations into businesses and producing teaching resources for training and education.
